Welcome from the IPAC’24 LOC Chair

Welcome from the IPAC’24 LOC Chair

I am pleased to welcome you to IPAC’24 on behalf of the conference Local Organizing Committee. We have been preparing for this event with the goal of making your experience at the conference as effective and pleasant as possible. Members of the LOC team will be available to help throughout the conference and will be easily identified by the green name tag lanyards. General assistance and information about the city of Nashville will be available in the Registration Area. The Editorial Room, Speaker Ready Room, Author Reception, and the LOC Office will be staffed throughout the week.

After the transition from SPMS in 2023, IPAC’24 will be using Indico for abstract and paper submissions as well as managing the editorial functions. The registration is being managed through CVENT. Detailed instructions for both Indico and CVENT will be provided via the main IPAC’24 website. An IPAC’24 mobile app will be available to assist you in planning and personalizing your conference experience.

We take this opportunity to draw your attention to the important role that our learned societies, APS and IEEE play in the domain of physics and of accelerator science in general. The APS Division of Physics of Beams and the IEEE PAST Committee serve an important role not only in supporting the IPAC Conference series but in promoting and supporting more widely accelerator science outreach and education in society and in government. Please learn more about and join our learned societies at the information tables at the Conference.

Both national and international members are welcome. Finally, I would like to deeply thank all members of IPAC’24 Local Organizing Committee for their skills and dedication in making this event possible. It has been a pleasure to work together as a team with such a talented and resourceful group of people.
